A scorpion is an arthropod with 8 legs, belonging to the order Scorpiones in the class Arachnida. This class also contains the spider, harvestmen, mites, and ticks. The body of a scorpion is divided into two segments, the cephalothorax and the abdomen. The abdomen consists of the mesosoma and the metasoma.
