Hydrologic cycle: natural phenomena undergone by water.
Precipitation: change of water vapor to liquid water.
Condensation: formation of clouds.
Immediate evaporation: change of water to water vapor immediately after precipitation, therefore, in the air.
Transpiration: evaporation of water from trees and plants.
Evaporation: change of water to water vapor.
Runoff: drainage of water on the ground.
Surface evaporation: evaporation of water from the surface of the soil.
Absorption by roots: removal of water from the soil by roots.
Infiltration: absorption of water by the soil.
Surface infiltration: absorption of water by the top layer of the soil.
